This is an example of numerous church buildings we have helped to fund in both Kajiado and Narok counties. Our most recent building in Kajiado County is larger, measuring 50 feet by 30 feet, or ~ 1500 square feet of floor space. Most have concrete floors.

Phase 1 of our new church / school building in Narok County, Kenya is complete! We are moving on to Phase 2. We plan to finish Phase 2 which will complete both a men’s and women’s latrine (covered for privacy, this is huge) and will lay down a concrete floor and additional finish-out within the large structure itself.

Church/School Building Update

The village we support contributed $1,000 to the project and our group here has contributed $2,500. Using these funds, village leadership divided the building construction into 2 phases and has completed Phase 1 which you can see in the photos below.  This phase included framing, supports, roofing, a raised presentation area, and the first phase of digging latrines.  I have weekly pictures from John but grabbed some highlights for you all to see. This building is already doing so much for these people and they use it daily.  I’ve included a series of pictures below for you to review the progress. Before, this space was nothing but bush and dirt, and now it is a place of worship, teaching, and fellowship.  I have videos of meetings, school, prayer time, Kenyan’s giving their lives to Christ, and more for those interested.

Phase 2: Complete the Building We plan to finish the building Phase 2 which will complete both a men’s and women’s latrine (covered for privacy, this is huge) and will lay down a concrete floor and additional finish-out within the large structure itself.  To finish the building we need to raise the final $3,000 needed for this initiative. Once we have that amount, we will fund the next round of contractors to finish the building and this specific initiative will be complete.

Sustainability Program We are working to create a 2-year funding program whereby he would receive outside funding to invest in a local business infrastructure. The goal would be to take a known economic driver for their region (most likely livestock) and build a program for asset acquisition and training to create a sustainable revenue source for one village or area. If you have questions, shoot them my way.  If you’d like to contribute to this next phase or know someone else who might, feel free to forward. Appreciate you all!
